When it comes to losing weight, Easter Sunday is probably the worst day in the calendar after Christmas for anyone trying to eat well. I say this because it’s a day overpowered by one food, chocolate, the food everyone blames for weight gain, mostly because of it’s addictive taste. This is the only time it’s acceptable to have some for breakfast, I’m currently prepping for grandchildren coming round, creme eggs wrapped in croissant pastry is the latest tik tok craze and that’s what they want to try. Then it’s the egg hunt, might only be a few small hollow ones they’re going to wander round the garden in the rain for, but I’m sure they’ll be finding room for at least two of them and lets not forget the Easter egg itself, how many do kids get now? Parents usually give 2, then the grandparents, another 2, fiends and family can average 4, before you know it, your child’s egg tally is in double figures. Thankfully for me, I’m not a big chocolate lover, yeah I eat it, but not much, there’s been a huge basket of small eggs in my front room for the last three weeks for any visitors to eat, I’ve honestly had two of them. I do of course have a vice and something I’d much rather have than a chocolate egg. I think it’s only fair that I should be allowed to have it for breakfast as well today, so on that note, cheers !
