• Just keep swimming too

In part one, I mentioned lane swimming and the perils it can bring, what I didn’t explain is what can happen when you get someone in yours, who doesn’t belong. As you know, I swim in the slow lane, everyone who should be here, is fine, usually they’re all doing…

  • Just keep swimming

Swimming, swimming, swimming. top advice from Dory, but if you’re thinking about starting up after not bothering for ages, there are a few things you need to know before taking the plunge. As there are a lot of things for me to say on the subject, I’m going to do…

  • Spray it again

Something I would love to do is be the guy who sprays water on a model during a beach photo shoot. I once saw an ad for it when Margot Robbie was in the UK and they needed someone to soak her for a few hours. I rang up and…

  • Sunday girl.

I’d say The Who are my favourite, mostly because of their fantastic live performances, it would be hard to ignore the Beatles due to their song writing skills and I’d have to include Blondie, cos I always fancied Debbie Harry. I wasn’t going to post today cos I can’t find…

  • If I had a quid

before I start writing, I’d best explain the title, I know there are quite a few people from the US and Australia who read this and might not know what a quid is. Basically it’s slang for a pound coin which is the equivalent to a dollar, the term then…

  • Bin there.

There are a few noises in our lives that cause distress, but none so much as something that often wakes you from sleep. Perhaps, you’ve just opened your eyes and are lying there, thinking about getting your arse out of bed, when all of a sudden in the distance you…

  • Pardon !

Getting old is something we hope will happen to us, though not everyone is fortunate enough to experience it. I’m sure if given the choice, all the young men who died on the beaches at Normandy would have swapped their short lives for one of fulfilment, even if it meant…

  • The “M” word.

I’ve talked about Slimming World a lot regarding my weight loss journey and credited them with helping me get to where I am. I mentioned the stress involved with the weekly queue at weigh in and the up’s and down’s of the impending result, but something only just dawned on…

  • Life’s too short.

I get weighed in at Fat club on a Friday, so usually have a drink over the weekend and then behave Monday to Thursday. I try not to have any alcohol on these days and eat reasonably well, if this happens, more often than not I get a loss. This…

  • Aaaarrrrggghhhh!!!

There is absolute no doubt stress is a killer, it’s also a huge reason for many strokes, so why aren’t we better at controlling this? It’s almost as if this silent assassin waits in the shadows for the first sign that something’s turning a bit shit in our lives, then…

I’m Keith

Welcome to my blog. I’m on a mission to lose weight in order to have a much needed operation, that will hopefully help me regain the gift of mobility. As the title suggests, I also plan to become a fittie, though that might require some plastic surgery. Like the whole population of the world, things have been a bit shit since 2020 and eating all those sausage rolls during lockdown didn’t help. If you want the full story, then read the about page, but if I were you, I’d just crack on with my hopefully humorous anecdotes about life as a fat disabled guy.
