• G-Force

The title and accompanying picture may be leading you to think this blog is about the 2009 Disney film, telling the story about a group of secret agent Guinea pigs, well you’d be wrong, because it’s also the nickname of a young boxer I had the pleasure to interview. In…

  • Growing up it was common knowledge that council workers were the laziest, usually spending hours hiding and keeping out of the way, I can vouch for this cos at school I did three weeks work experience with the council stone mason’s and the only experience I actually got was doing…

  • A kick up the…….

It’s fair to say, in the last few weeks my focus has waned, not put any weight on, but not lost any either, I’ve crowned myself king of the maintain. If I was at my happy weight, life would be good, but I’m not and I need to be. Like…

  • Surviving the 70’s

I consider myself an authority on surviving the 1970’s, everyone thinks their childhood was the best, but as in highlander, “there can be only one” and anyone that lived through this decade, knows it was them. Just like living in Australia, the dangers were many and not everyone made it,…

  • I’ll be back !

Apparently blog writing or in fact any sort of creative writing is now a thing of the past and should be put in the same category as the dinosaurs. Since the rise of AI, useless, lazy, thick people can now have a 1000 words on any subject, written down on…

  • It’s banter

I keep banging on about humour and how important it is to mental health, to be able to laugh at events, no matter how annoying or sad they can be, is vital to our ability in moving forward, as a shark needs to keep swimming, we need to keep smiling.…

  • Anyone who’s read my coach tour blog’s will know that I had a bit of a problem with the hotel we stayed at, which was run by a modern incarnation of Basil Fawlty. I’d like to add that it wasn’t just me, but many in the group commented how rude…

  • Coach trip day 5

Sadly, the last day finally arrived, not really much to look forward to and it looked like the breakfast might be the highlight, food is clearly an issue if you’re trying to lose weight when on a coach holiday. For a start, it’s always difficult to refuse the full English…

  • Coach trip day 4

I’d been looking forward to today, Port Merrion was on the agenda, I didn’t know much about it, but felt it was somewhere I should go and is why I put it on my bucket list. Unfortunately the day didn’t start well though, you’ll remember I might have mentioned the…

  • Coach trip day 3

Most people if they’re going to write a review about somewhere, wait till they get home, if you’re from Yorkshire, that’s a cowards way, the only way is to tell someone what you think, while you’re still likely to bump into them. Lying in bed, having had a better sleep…

Hi, I’m Keith.

Welcome to my blog. I’m on a mission to lose weight in order to have a much needed operation, that will hopefully help me regain the gift of mobility. As the title suggests, I also plan to become a fittie, though that might require some plastic surgery. Like the whole population of the world, things have been a bit shit since 2020 and eating all those sausage rolls during lockdown didn’t help. If you want the full story, then read the about page, but if I were you, I’d just crack on with my hopefully humorous anecdotes about life as a fat disabled guy.
