  • Death

Yeah, It’s not the cheeriest of subjects as the festive season approaches, but Charles Dickens did okay. It’s something we all experience and not just our own, as we get older, more people we love die, be them family or friends and the way we deal with it affects us…

  • More pain

When I started writing my last blog entitled “Pain”, I knew there was far too much to mention in one go, if the truth be told, I could probably write ten on the same subject and still wouldn’t run out of material, no matter what your age, we all suffer,…

  • Pain

As we get older, one thing we’re definitely going to get more of is pain, either physical or mental, there’s no avoiding it and the way we handle and deal with the situation, differs from person to person. Quite often the physical suffering stems from a mis-spent youth, usually old…

  • For anyone old enough to recognise the reference to a kids TV show, they’ll also be well experienced in the British act of queueing, let’s be honest, we’re very good at it. From an early age, the art of standing in line, waiting our turn is instilled in us, at…

  • No brainer

What’s something you would attempt if you were guaranteed not to fail. Making a bet on my team, Leeds United to win the FA Cup this season, l’d call that a win/win.

  • Massage in a bottle

I’ve mentioned before that I have a regular massage and how important it is to helping me retain my mobility, after a while my legs seize up and the nerves trapped around my hips, cause even more pain than normal, so I try to have one about 6-8 weeks apart.…

  • Cripples law

Before anyone gets offended, because I am one, I can use that word, a cripple is someone who cannot walk or move normally, due to a medical condition or injury, tick! As if the condition isn’t bad enough on it’s own, something else we have to deal with is falling…

  • Some like it hot.

One thing guaranteed to help ease the pain in my legs is a soak in the hot tub, as I’ve not been swimming for a while, I thought I’d fill it up, especially as I had a massage booked. This might all sound a bit decedent, but I can’t stress…

  • Keep battling on

As mentioned on my home page, I have osteoarthritis in both hips, this makes walking extremely hard, which can be quite stressful, especially as I did a lot of it for my job and also for pleasure. I sometimes get very anxious when I’m struggling to put one foot in…

Hi, I’m Keith.

Welcome to my blog. I’m on a mission to lose weight in order to have a much needed operation, that will hopefully help me regain the gift of mobility. As the title suggests, I also plan to become a fittie, though that might require some plastic surgery. Like the whole population of the world, things have been a bit shit since 2020 and eating all those sausage rolls during lockdown didn’t help. If you want the full story, then read the about page, but if I were you, I’d just crack on with my hopefully humorous anecdotes about life as a fat disabled guy.
