• When you gotta go !

If you read my last blog, you’ll know I’m in the middle of a swimming challenge, to paddle the equivalent of the English channel in seven weeks, currently it’s going okay, but the biggest problem is still the boredom. It takes me 90 minutes to do the 36 lengths and…

  • So far my new healthy regime is doing well, many days without drink, eating good thing’s, losing weight and managing to get plenty of time at the pool and that doesn’t mean sat on a sun lounger watching arses in thong’s. Swimming was something that helped me lots before I…

  • Look out below!

Since I announced that I was going to walk up the 199 steps at Whitby for charity, there have been a few people expressing how shit a challenge that is, the thought being that a man with no legs could do it in about an hour by shuffling up on…

  • Ey i’ll do it !

Finally after months away, I’m back. You may wonder what’s been happening? Well not got time for that, I’ll have to leave those stories for another blog, though it looks like I’m finally going to get my hip operations this year, despite being a big fatty. The NHS in their…

  • A new beginning

Yes, you’ve heard it before and I’ve definitely said it before, but this time, I really mean it. “Yeah, I’ll start behaving tomorrow”, don’t know about you, but this is something I’ve proclaimed many times, at least five in the last seven days and at some point, if we really…

  • Run Jake run

All bad thing’s must come to an end and not shoving a sausage roll in my mouth for six months has certainly been a treat I’ve missed. I decided to give them up because I felt they may have been the cause of my lack of weight loss, I now…

  • Cancer

When it comes to the “C” word, cancer is the one that people avoid most, no one’s comfortable mentioning it and very few actually want to talk about it, as something that will effect one in four of us, the subject shouldn’t really be avoided, no matter how difficult. Last…

  • A hedge too far

When you’re disabled, even the simplest task can cause issues and there are some jobs that I put off as long as possible, cutting the hedge is one. Paying someone to do it isn’t an option, over 300 quid was the quote two years ago, god knows what it is…

  • Can’t be arsed

Nobody knows more about the value of movement than me and whilst I do spend time sitting and watching telly, I’m also constantly doing jobs and work around the house. I like to keep very active, particularly while the nice weather’s here doing the garden, though the work, rest ratio…

  • Dad

I recently mentioned my autobiography and how when I eventually get round to writing it, I’d dedicate a whole chapter to a cousin, well, when it comes to the amount of words given to one person, there’s absolutely no contest over who’d get the most. My dad was everything to…

Hi, I’m Keith.

Welcome to my blog. I’m on a mission to lose weight in order to have a much needed operation, that will hopefully help me regain the gift of mobility. As the title suggests, I also plan to become a fittie, though that might require some plastic surgery. Like the whole population of the world, things have been a bit shit since 2020 and eating all those sausage rolls during lockdown didn’t help. If you want the full story, then read the about page, but if I were you, I’d just crack on with my hopefully humorous anecdotes about life as a fat disabled guy.
