• Temptation

It was around this time last year, that I used a similar title for a blog, telling the tale of giving up sausage rolls for lent and how I was almost tempted to break my abstinence while on a road trip. As any regular reader will know, I’m currently on…

  • Manopause

I’d love to claim that I came up with this word, but as anyone knows, you can’t copywrite a joke, because no matter how original you think you’re smart arse idea is, guaranteed someone has already thought of and used it. This was a phrase I’d not heard for ages,…

  • Lent

This blog isn’t about the various books and DVD’s I’ve lent out over the years and never got back, (though if anyone’s reading this and has one, the amnesty’s on till Easter), it actually concerns the 40 days before Easter, when as Christians, we’re supposed to give something up. Of…

  • Grandchildren.

I’ve previously discussed mental health and how important it is with regards to you’re well being, it works hand in hand with the physical side and anything you can do to improve it is a good thing. Nothing is as beneficial in adding to a happy feeling as being a…

  • Massage

About six years ago, because my knackered hips had forced me to walk different, I began to suffer with horrendous pain in my back, a massage was needed and so I began looking. It’s not easy going through the various sites and listing’s, a few years earlier I’d visited a…

  • Drugs

Before anyone jumps to conclusions, I’m not about to discuss the merits of Cocaine and cannabis, though in many cases it’s a fine line between hard narcotics and pain killers. At some point it’s highly likely that you’ll need some sort of relief from an injury or long term illness…

  • Food

No matter how much exercise you get, you won’t lose weight by this alone, watching what you put in your mouth is the only true way to drop the pounds. The word diet is probably the most googled in January, with so many people opting to go on one, but…

  • Embarrassment

Let’s deal with the elephant in the room first, no, that isn’t me in the picture, I’m not quite as bad as that, but not too far off. It can be a major issue when you’re overweight, not really wanting people to see you semi naked, which is why many…

  • Injury

At some point in our lives, we’re going to experience an injury, it could be bad luck that causes this or a stupid choice and the nature of severity, can range from a dislocated finger to a broken leg, the human body is a fragile thing and it’s only when…

I’m Keith

Welcome to my blog. I’m on a mission to lose weight in order to have a much needed operation, that will hopefully help me regain the gift of mobility. As the title suggests, I also plan to become a fittie, though that might require some plastic surgery. Like the whole population of the world, things have been a bit shit since 2020 and eating all those sausage rolls during lockdown didn’t help. If you want the full story, then read the about page, but if I were you, I’d just crack on with my hopefully humorous anecdotes about life as a fat disabled guy.
